I have recently finished reading a lovable book by Rainbow Rowell called Eleanor and Park. This novel is an intelligent, comedic, romantic, and emotional book that had me in a mess of tissues and tears by the end of it.

Eleanor is the new girl in town and tries to blend as much as she can but Park can’t help but notice her because of her unique fashion choice and appearance . Their friendship starts off bad but eventually they start a relationship like no other.

In this novel the characters have a lot of emotional obstacles to face, for example someone is bullying Eleanor and for their relationship to expand Park needs to get over being embarrassed. There are many more obstacles they face together as their relationship is put to the test.

The character each evolve in a positive way . Eleanor becomes more confident, has more friends and more honest to herself and others. Park realises his true-self, becomes courageous and stars not caring about what others think about him.

I have learned a few lessons from that novel; ‘What is going on behind the scene’ basically means though some people may seem like they have it all together when really their life is completely falling apart. Another example is ‘Don’t judge a book by it’s cover’ at first someone might seem scary when really inside they are kind and harmless people.

This book had changed my perspective on most things and taught me valuable lessons. I recommend this book for those who want a laugh or to cry or perhaps both. This book will definitely stay in my top books list.

Book Review: Horowitz Horror

HOROWITZ HORROR

This book is full of short scary stories. I love all of them but if I had to choose one of them I would choose Bath Night because I have been in the same situation like this , but not as bad. It just makes me more scared bringing back the memories. This story is about a girl having hallucinations of being attacked or having karma. One of the scenes is that she fills the bath with boiling hot water, but when she jumps in the bath tub it is freezing like Antarctica. The main characters in this story are Isabel the daughter of Jeremy and Susan and Isabella's best friend Belinda.

Isabel is a confident,brave,smart and an intelligent teen. She is confident and brave because she is not over reacting to the situation. She is smart because she goes and finds clues and historical information about this bath tub.

• I'm particularly interested in the way that Belinda  was actually helping her instead of being all ratchet and thinking she is a psycho and sticking by her side.
• The challenges that Belinda and Isabel face were really tough, because the father and Mother wouldn't believe her daughter that she is having issues just because they are not having issues.
• For me I wouldn't be scared at all, because I have prayed to the Lord about this situation and he has heard it and will lead me to the path of righteousness and tell me to not be afraid, because God is always with me.
• I would feel very sad if this happened to my family, but have hope that the problems won't last very long like Isabela's. Because we will pray for the person in our family that is being tortured

The first two official members of book club this year, Kasi and Liam. Kasi is reading The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kid. Liam is reading Wool by Hugh Howey. Ms Metcalfe is reading a collection of poetry by Kate Tempest called Hold Your Own.

Book Review: Why I hate school by Michael Fatarsky

The book Why I hate school is about a boy telling and explaining to us why he hates school from his perspective. It said “He hates break time because it’s too short and he hates lunch time because it’s too crowded on the playground.” He hates everything that happens in school basically. From my perspective as a student I don’t really think school is that bad because you can hang out with your friends, learn, play and school prepares you for the real world. Honestly, I didn’t learn any valuable lesson in this book but I found interesting words that I can use someday  like blab, admired and more.

I found this book so interesting because this is a different kind of book is half right and half of it is not like “He hates the smell of school” Does school have a smell? I don’t think so. He changed at the end. The person that he hated at the beginning and at the end he found her nice and so he liked being friends with her. Michael  practically hated school because he is thinking too much about the negative’s that you have to face in school. Why not cooperate? Why not try and like school and think good things that happen in school? Those are the questions that pops in my head when I was reading this book. Also at the end of the book it shows you all the reasons that he made.

Introduction

The title of my story is Prima EA Sports Madden NFL 16 Official Guide. It was primarily written by Zach “ZFarls” Farley. However it does offer some insight from some of the EA Crew from Tiburon, Miami. The book was published in 2015 by DK/Prima Games, a division of Penguin Random House.

What is the guide about?

The guide is a step by step playbook that is guaranteed to give you the most out of your gaming experience. The guide also provides an unique insight to your favourite NFL teams and gives you insider information only a full time player would know. It will also show which plays work and which plays don’t.

Also in order to play you will need to be able to pick plays that will work and give you that game winning Touchdown in the redzone. Which one would you pick?

Conclusion: The Gameplay before guide and after guide

Being the dedicated player I am I decided to play the game before I read the guide. Seeing I have experience the guide didn’t really seem awfully useful. So I loaded the game, skipped the tutorials and dived straight into the gaming experience of  Franchise mode and I was demolished.

Here's exactly what my player looked like. Only difference is that I played at Number 7 and I played QB.

I put all pride aside and just read the guide and my experience afterwards was much better.
