What did you read this summer?

I read...

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black

Tana lives in a world where walled cities called Coldtowns exist. In them, quarantined monsters and humans mingle in a decadently bloody mix of predator and prey. And once you pass through Coldtown's gates, you can never leave.

When an ordinary party turns into a massacre Tana has no choice but to go to Coldtown - will she be able to find a way out?

This is a great drama/romance with a vampire theme. A movie has been made and will be heading our way soon.

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

This is a great story and looks like being just as successful as The Fault in our Stars with the movie version coming out on August 28.

It is the story of Mia and how her life changes in an instant when her family's car is hit by a truck on a snowy road, all the choices she could have made for her future are gone ... except one.

There is a sequel, which we also have in the library, called 'Where she went' which is just as good as the first book.

'If I Stay' is on display this week and you can reserve it at the issues desk.
